awesome little coincidences

so a few weeks ago g was hyped up about this band that he had been listening to recently - silversun pickups and he has been playing their songs in the background whenever we hang out now. they were pretty catchy... i had this vague sense that i had heard them before, but then again, sometimes something is catchy because its just catchy. fastforward to this past friday - i see the band's music video on fuse (which is kind of a ghetto music channel, but its kind of cool... like how mtv was back in the 80s) for their single 'lazy eye', reminding me to put them on my ipod. i listen to their album all saturday morning (or at least all 1.5 hrs i was awake in the morning), mostly listening to 'lazy eye'. yesterday, lyt, jing, and i had our last oc marathon, wrapping up a 2 year, semi annual tradition. and in our oc binge, what song opens up one of the episodes? that right, 'lazy eye'. (note: i had actually seen the episodes when they aired, i just wanted to participate in tradition - so maybe thats why the song sounded so familiar when i 'first' heard it with g) and now, this morning - as i try to plan out tomorrow night, when i get to go see snow patrol and ok go at msg, a show that i bought tickets for back in november and have been dying to go to since, who do i find out is opening for them? SSPU!
