a cruel joke

i swear that the security system at work is just one giant cruel joke. let me set it up for you. so for employees, we are required to get our badges and fingerprints scanned before we are let in through a set of turnstiles. once the scanner ok's you, a green arrow lights up and the turnstile unlocks, making a clicking sound. the cruel part of this is that sometimes the green arrow lights up but the turnstile doesnt unlock. so, lets say that you're like me and listens to music on your commute to work, so you dont necessarily hear the turnstile unlocking, so you tend to just trust the green arrow... well... the green arrow is a bastard. also, if you are like me, the turnstiles are at a really inconvenient height, if you know what i mean. so even if it is unlocked, i usually push it away with my hand before walking through. but guess what happens when the green light feels like being a jackass? really, i mean, how many people have punched themselves in the junk because of the sick fuck who invented the turnstile security system?
